Professional development

As an part of the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts, you are offered various opportunities for professional development.

Erasmus+, staff training

All employees at Lund University have the opportunity to apply for Erasmus funds for training activities such as job shadowing, observation periods, training at a partner university or any other relevant organisation somewhere in Europe. You arrange the activity yourself and then apply for the funds to finance it. The stay must last at least two working days and the maximum duration granted is normally one to two weeks.

Courses in higher education teaching and learning

These courses are aimed at teachers, professors, librarians, doctoral students and others who work with students.

For permanent employment as a teacher at Lund University, at least five weeks of higher education pedagogical training is required, which corresponds to the course 'Lärarrollen i högre utbildning/Teaching and learning in higher education' followed by 'Kursansvar i högre utbildning/Course design in higher education'. Teaching doctoral students are expected to take at least the first of these courses.
