IAC – Inter Arts Centre
Inter Arts Center is a platform for artistic research and experimentation, and a part of the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts at Lund University. It acts as a work and meeting place for researchers and artists who use the facilities for short or long-term projects.
IAC is a unique space, letting the artist unfold experimental and multidisciplinary work. The combination of artists working within as well as outside the Academy and is a vital component of our mission. IAC concentrates on contributing to the development of various artistic fields, by working with processes, research, experimentation and technology over time.
IAC offers several open calls and residencies throughout the year.
IAC was established in 2010 and is located on the fourth floor of the old Mazetti chocolate factory in central Malmö. The space includes sound, video and artist studios, and rooms for performances, talks and seminars. IAC often hosts public events, ranging from concerts to symposia and exhibitions.
Körcentrum Syd
Choral singing can offer possibilities and momentum that can be difficult to reconcile in other contexts. In order to take advantage of these and pave the way for the continued enjoyment of singing in the future, the education sector, concert institutions and choral singing community in southern Sweden have joined forces to establish Körcentrum Syd. Formally, Körcentrum Syd is a specialised centre at Lund University, with an office based at the Academy of Music in Malmö. The centre was started in December 2007 and its aim is to strengthen choral singing nationally and internationally, in dialogue with different parties and by coordinating and initiating courses, concerts and research.
The Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts is also responsible for Konstnärliga forskarskolan, a national graduate school in the fine and performing arts that was started in 2010.
