Marge Arkitekter will design our new campus

It is now decided that Marge Arkitekter will design the new artistic campus in Varvsstaden, where the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts will move in a few years.

Marge Arkitekter has two teams in the project, one that will work with the exterior and meet the requirements for Kockum's old buildings. And another that will work with the interiors and artistic activities that will take place in the buildings.

-We are incredibly impressed by Marge Arkitekter's portfolio with expressive projects that focus on people and spatial exploration. There are many artistic and educational establishments among their previous work and they focus on all aspects of sustainability. Then they also have experience from projects in old environments, so this is exactly what we want, says Dean Anna Lyrevik.

The Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts is working to co-locate all three academies into a new campus, as part of ensuring its long-term quality and success. The new campus is expected to be finished in 2025/26.
