Summary, in English

Over the summer of 2024, a group of composers collaborated with violinist Peter Sheppard Skærved to respond to the ‘Merchant’s Chapel’ in the Petri-Kyrka, Malmö. This is one of the very few elaborately decorated religious spaces in Scandinavia that was not destroyed during the Reformation and iconoclasm of the mid-1500s. Each composer crafted an original response to the riotous decoration and extraordinary acoustics of the Krämarekapellet. The result is called ‘A Chapel: Music for Krämarekapellet’. Staffan Storm contributed the piece 'Eroded Memories of Heaven and Beyond'. This was the USA premiere.
